Prom Theme nominations started today, and I have till the end of the week to suggest some awesome themes. So naturally, I'd like to have a TCR theme. I know our school contains the kinds of people who wouldn't even know who Stephen is, but I still want to suggest this idea anyway.

So in order to make this plausible, I've got to plan out some of it, and I'd like suggestions from the Nation! Post any ideas you've got!

Well, politics has largely disenfranchised the general public.. ergo, Dr. Colbert's political satire is in fact very viable politics...

Perhaps a "Post-Modern" approach might get your foot in the door..??

Play on "post" and "modern"??

edit:
Post-modern Party?

I wanted something Stephen related for mine as well, but only like 3-4 people in the whole school really know who he is. I thought of some political theme, but I doubt the people at my school would vote for it *sigh* Have some sort of election night? Red, white, and blue banners/balloons? In my head it looks good =P

Good luck! I know how hard it is to get a prom theme to become a reality...for my junior prom we had decided on Phantom of the Opera, but ended up going with Viva Las Vegas because the seniors didn't want another masquerade...grrrr...ended up not going that year, but I went the following year because it was a black tie affair. Smile

I'd totally attend a Stephen prom though.

A TCR-themed prom sounds like fun. Very Happy

Maybe you could suggest a patriotic theme, with red, white and blue decorations and flags and stuff. I also liked Franny's idea of an election night theme.

it'll end up being gay, with like a "night on the town" theme.

Of course, you prolly go to a much smaller school than I did, it was kinda hard to convince the majority of anything for me

All I know is you better plan to wear this dress.... to prom, in dark blue / light gold (in Stephen's honor).

I like...although I was expecting something a little more extravagant and patriotic when I clicked that link...

Forget the dress, just drape yourself in a flag!

lol MY prom is going to be a masquerade! I thought we had been clever....
the sad part is that the school administration isn't sure whether they will let us wear masks because of dress code violations.
