Tickets for Stephen's engagement in Buffalo went on sale about 15 minutes ago. Because technically the tickets for the event had already been sold (this was the James Earl Jones one that had been cancelled) I was concerned about the it-getters' ability to snag good seats. Turns out I had reason to be! What was available really was the leftovers.
I was trying for just a single ticket, because that's how I roll when good seats are at stake.

The best seat I was offered was in the middle of one of the front sections, like row M or something. I thought I could do better. I kept trying, and at one point they gave me a ticket in row "AA" of section floor 1 -- which is way off to the side, so if that turned out to be front-row it actually would have been bad.
But I did end up with a good seat -- front row of the second set of floor sections, off to the side. So I'll have no heads infront of me, and hopefully easy access to whatever mics they set up for q&a.
How did the rest of you all do?
And if you're travelling, can anyone give advice on a good hotel nearby? I'll be coming down from Toronto, and then continuing on to NYC the following morning. Hilarious that this is event is actually
on my way to my writing class.
